The Canadian landlord announced a new platform that will allow consumers to see what products are available in retailers prior to coming into its shopping centres, as well as the opportunity to shop across channels at any time.
Retail Insider spoke with the landlord to get details on the innovative retail space that will feature 20-foot ceilings, a ‘winter garden’ and possibly a food hall as part of one of Canada’s largest real estate projects.
The highly anticipated renovation and repositioning of the historic hotel complex will include a substantial retail component facing onto Bloor Street West and Avenue Road in Toronto’s most prestigious district.
The massive Mississauga shopping centre will see its former Target box converted into an innovative new entertainment, food hall and retail wing, which is expected to further drive traffic to the already very busy centre.
Recent improvements have resulted in a significant increase in foot traffic, with more changes on the way including an overhauled amusement park as well as the country’s first net-zero department store.
