Retail Insider's latest Real Estate & Leasing Report examines how limited retail space, selective investment, and redevelopment strategies are reshaping Canada's commercial property market, with growing performance gaps between prime retail assets and secondary centres.

The former Hudson's Bay store at Windsor's Devonshire Mall, which opened as a standalone Simpsons department store in 1974 and featured The Room fashion concept, will be demolished following its acquisition by Primaris REIT.

The store’s retail space will be downsized and renovated while a new office tower is added at the back end of the store.
