Crate & Barrel Holdings is expanding its product offering with the launch of wallcoverings across its Crate & Barrel, Crate & Barrel Kids and CB2 brands, marking the company’s first entry into the category.
The Chicago-based home furnishings company said that the collections feature designs developed in-house and manufactured through a partnership with York Wallcoverings, a U.S. wallpaper manufacturer. The products are available exclusively online through the three brands’ websites.
New category expands home furnishings offering
The launch extends the company’s assortment beyond furniture and home accessories, adding wallcoverings designed to complement products already sold across its retail brands. The company said the collections are intended for a range of residential spaces, including living rooms, bedrooms, powder rooms and children’s rooms.
The partnership combines the retailer’s design work with the manufacturer’s production capabilities. The company said the collections use advanced printing techniques and premium fibres, with the company aiming to maintain its brands’ quality standards while keeping the products at an accessible price point.
The designs were created in-house to coordinate with existing Crate & Barrel, Crate & Barrel Kids and CB2 merchandise. The company said the patterns are intended to resemble hand-painted artwork and provide customers with options for adding colour, texture and visual detail to their homes.

“Bringing wallcoverings into our portfolio was a natural next step for our brands that embodies Design with Purpose,” said Alicia Waters, Brand President, Crate & Barrel and Crate & Barrel Kids. “We are thrilled this new category launch spans across every room of the home – offering beautiful, exclusive wallpaper for the family room, bedroom, powder room, kids’ room, and beyond. It’s something our customers have been asking for, as it takes the beauty of their spaces to a whole new level.”

CB2 collection includes more than 45 designs
The CB2 collection includes more than 45 exclusive designer prints and colourways, ranging from textured neutral finishes to more pronounced graphic patterns, according to Ryan Turf, president of CB2.
The offering introduces wallcoverings as another design category for the brand, which focuses on contemporary home furnishings and accessories. The products are intended to work with CB2’s existing assortment while offering customers additional options for decorating residential interiors.
“Wallcoverings give us an exciting new medium to transform any space,” said Turf. “With over 45 exclusive designer prints and colorways – ranging from subtle textured neutrals to bold, graphic patterns – this collection delivers the signature craftsmanship and elevated design our customers expect, making it effortless to bring real personality to every room.”
Crate & Barrel and Crate & Barrel Kids are also introducing collections developed to fit their respective product assortments. The company said the broader launch is intended to provide wallcoverings for different rooms and household needs across its brands.

Partnership with established U.S. manufacturer
York Wallcoverings will manufacture the collections. The company described York as the oldest and largest wallpaper mill in the United States, bringing established manufacturing capabilities to the retailer’s in-house designs.
The arrangement allows Crate & Barrel Holdings to enter the wallcoverings category through an external manufacturing partner rather than establishing its own production operations, although the announcement did not provide further details about the commercial terms of the agreement.
The collections were made available online on Oct. 7 through the Crate & Barrel, Crate & Barrel Kids and CB2 websites.
Crate & Barrel Holdings operates the Crate & Barrel, CB2, Crate & Barrel Kids and Hudson Grace lifestyle brands. Its mission is to inspire customers to build a home with purpose.
