  1. Lots of luxury names. Very few if any middle to low end fashion retailers. Going to be very challenging for B and C malls across the country to attract any of the names posted with exception of Dollarama.

  2. oh boy! This is kinda sad. Everyone will look the same, smell the same etc.
I’m less concerned about the couple of luxury shops, more concerned with retailers like Zara, Dutti, Dollar Store, Fossil, Saks, Yankee Candles (WTF! who needs that crap) and their number of locations.

How boring is it when everyone on the streets looks the same? You should do a similar write up and determine how many independent retailers are scheduled to open up. Even if it’s just in a couple of major Canadian cities.

    • We’ll be adding to this list shortly. Correct – Uniqlo intends to open in Vancouver and Toronto, as well as other Canadian cities. We’ve got a total list of over 200 retailers and we’ll be publishing similar lists in the coming weeks.

  3. Fossil should be Canada wide.

Sage Wellness seems to be on an aggressive national rollout too.

Noticed Simons is missing on the list.

    • Absolutely – this list is only the beginning. We’ll be regularly posting lists that will include luxury retailers, value-priced retailers and large-format retailers, for example.

We’ve got about 200 on our list and we expect to reveal a segment this coming Friday.

    • We’ll be adding to this list with those and many other retailers. We’ve got a list of about 200 retailers growing, so we’ll create separate lists to reflect new American retailers, luxury retailers, department store, etc.
