Calgary-based real estate company Jayman Living is building a massive social and athletic club in southeast Calgary that will be 400,000 square feet with numerous amenities including an NHL-sized rink, aquatics and athletics facilities, rooftop dining and wellness experiences.
“The Nostalgia Club began with my own family. I saw the connections my daughter and her family found through their club, and it made me want to create a place where generations belong together,” said Jay Westman, Chairman and CEO, Jayman BUILT.
“This is a place where legacies are built together. Exceptional service, personal integrity and a true sense of community will shape every detail, from a child’s first lesson to a quiet moment of your own.”

On Monday, officials broke ground for The Nostalgia Club at Nostalgia Townlet in southeast Calgary. Opening in Fall 2029, Westman said it will be the most prestigious private social and athletic club in North America and it will overlook the Bow River.
“CANA has spent more than 80 years building landmark projects across Alberta, and we are excited to partner with Jayman Living on The Nostalgia Club,” said John Simpson, Chairman, CANA. “As a third-generation family-run business, we’re proud to bring our experience building sports, recreation, and community spaces to a destination designed for families for generations to come.”
The Nostalgia Club’s planned amenities include:
- Family: A place where every generation plays together, with a 3,000-square-foot gymnastics centre, a multi-purpose gymnasium, a climbing centre with 35-foot walls, a family games room, a bowling centre and six golf and gaming simulator bays. An NHL-sized ice rink will host skating and hockey programs for children and adults. Childminding services and a supervised youth centre with a diverse program of activities complete the offering.
- Athletics: Indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, indoor padel courts and badminton courts. A 25,000-square-foot fitness space will feature training areas, personal training studios, group fitness classes and a 380-metre indoor running track.
