Retailers and foodservice operators saw a boost as people returned downtown over the holidays, and things are still picking up with students in schools and workers returning to offices.
After pandemic downturns, the downtown core is seeing more visitors as office workers return and people visit for events -- but there's still a ways to go according to the BIA's Executive Director.
A local broker and the head of the Yonge BIA say that times have been tough for the iconic street with “unrealistic” asking rents and a significant reduction in office workers due to the pandemic.
"Imagine Together" will transform nine billboards along the outside of CF Toronto Eaton Centre that typically saw advertising into a collection of designs that focuses on the power of collaboration and interconnectedness.
