Bio-K+ is expanding its retail distribution across Canada and the United States, adding new retail partnerships and product placements as the Quebec-based probiotic company looks to increase access to its products and grow its North American business.
The company, part of Kerry Group, said its 2026 expansion includes bringing its professional-grade Pro Line to Walmart and Costco.ca, entering the convenience store channel through Circle K in Ontario and increasing its presence in major U.S. grocery chains. It is also extending its e-commerce distribution through partnerships with iHerb and Vitacost.
The developments represent a broader push across pharmacy, grocery, club, convenience and online retail channels, with the company expanding its distribution of probiotic capsules, drinkable products and other formulations.

Expansion across Canadian retail channels
One of the company’s significant developments this year is the expansion of its Pro Line, including Antibio Pro and IBS Pro capsules, into Walmart and Costco.ca. The move marks the first time the professional-grade product line has entered the club retail channel.
In Canada, Bio-K+ has also partnered with Fullscript, a healthcare platform connecting health-care practitioners and patients, as it continues to expand its distribution through professional and retail channels.
In Quebec, the company has increased its shelf space at Jean Coutu, a longstanding pharmacy retail partner, and now offers its complete range of 12-pack probiotic drinkable products through the chain. The selection includes both vegan and dairy-based options.
The company also entered the convenience store market in July with the launch of its Active Probiotic Shots in strawberry and raspberry flavours at more than 340 Circle K locations across Ontario. The launch marked its first entry into the convenience channel.
Caroline Côté, marketing director at Bio-K+, said expanding distribution is part of the company’s longer-term business strategy.
“Expanding our retail presence is an important part of our long-term growth strategy and our commitment to making trusted, scientifically backed probiotic solutions more accessible to consumers,” said Côté. “From pharmacies and grocery stores to convenience and e-commerce, we are continuing to meet consumers where they shop, while staying true to the science, quality and expertise that have defined Bio-K+ for more than three decades.”

U.S. grocery distribution grows
Bio-K+ is also increasing its presence in the U.S. grocery market, with several new distribution agreements and expanded product placements announced during 2026.
Since the beginning of the year, the company’s shelf-stable probiotic capsules and Kids Stick Packs have launched across Albertsons Companies, representing its largest divisional expansion to date.
The brand has also expanded its distribution through Harris Teeter, strengthening its presence in the southeastern United States. In addition, Bio-K+ products are now available in 500 Sprouts Farmers Market locations nationwide, with improved placement for probiotic drinkable products in select stores.
The U.S. expansion adds to the company’s North American retail network as it seeks to increase the availability of its product range through established grocery retailers.

E-commerce and manufacturing strategy
Alongside its physical retail expansion, Bio-K+ is developing its international e-commerce distribution. In March, the company began selling products through iHerb, offering shelf-stable probiotics described as gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO to consumers worldwide.
In August, it added Vitacost as another online retail partner, initially offering its shelf-stable, multi-benefit probiotic capsules.
Founded in 1994, Bio-K+ is based in Quebec and became part of Kerry Group in October 2020. The company develops and manufactures select products at its vertically integrated facility in Laval, Que., maintaining control over production from probiotic strain development through to finished products.
According to the company, its products are supported by more than 30 years of scientific and clinical research. It also reports more than 115,000 documented patient cases supporting the long-term safety of its products, alongside quality and stability testing.
Bio-K+ said its expansion across retail and online channels is intended to make its probiotic products available to a broader range of consumers while continuing to build on its existing distribution network.
The company also says it has been the most recommended probiotic brand in Canada by pharmacists and physicians for eight consecutive years.
