Montreal-based furniture company Cozey is expanding its Canadian retail footprint with the opening of a 5,385-square-foot store at West Edmonton Mall on Nov. 20, marking its fifth permanent Canadian location as the company continues to invest in physical retail across North America.

The new Edmonton store will showcase the company’s furniture collections, including modular sofas and bedroom and living room furnishings, while introducing a new range of fabric colours. The opening follows the launch of a Montreal location in September and comes as Cozey prepares for further expansion in 2027, including a two-storey flagship store in New York City.

The West Edmonton Mall location is part of the company’s strategy to give customers more opportunities to experience its products in person before making purchasing decisions.

“Since opening our first permanent location in 2023, we’ve seen firsthand how much value the in-store experience brings to our customers,” said Frédéric Aubé, CEO and Founder of Cozey. “While we’ve worked tirelessly to mirror our in-store and online experiences to bring the same ease and accessibility to customers no matter where they shop, there is something about seeing the possibilities in person that can’t fully be replicated. That’s what’s driven us to open multiple stores and pop-ups across Canada and the US, and what’s now brought us to Edmonton. We want to share the in-person experience with more customers.”

Alberta expansion

The Edmonton store will be located inside West Edmonton Mall at 8882 170 St. NW. It will feature Cozey’s expanding furniture assortment, from its modular sofas to its growing bedroom and living room collections.

The location will also introduce the company’s latest catalogue of fabric colours, featuring velvet options and bolder hues intended to provide additional choices for customers during the winter season. The new colours will be displayed in the store, allowing shoppers to see and experience the materials before purchasing.

Aubé said the company’s experience in Calgary helped inform its decision to expand further into Alberta, with West Edmonton Mall selected as the location for its next permanent store.

“The response we saw in Calgary made clear there’s a real appetite for Cozey across Alberta, and expanding access to more of the province felt like a natural next step,” continued Aubé. “When it came to choosing where, it felt like there was nowhere else but Canada’s biggest mall.”

The opening adds another location to Cozey’s Canadian retail network as it seeks to increase access to its products through physical stores alongside its online business.

Further North American growth planned

The Edmonton opening follows the company’s recent Montreal expansion in September and is part of a broader push to establish a larger physical retail presence across Canada and the United States.

Cozey plans to continue expanding its retail operations next year, beginning with a two-storey flagship location in New York City scheduled to open in early 2027.

The company began opening permanent retail locations in 2023 and has also operated pop-up locations in Canada and the United States as it develops its physical retail strategy.

The West Edmonton Mall store opens Nov. 20, 2026. Store hours will be Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
