New York City-based Prince Street Pizza is preparing to open its second Toronto restaurant as commercial real estate firm CBRE seeks additional locations across Canada for the expanding pizza chain.

The new restaurant is planned for 2472 Yonge Street, just north of Eglinton Avenue, in the former Cibo Wine Bar space. It will follow the company’s Canadian debut at The Well in downtown Toronto in October 2023.

CBRE’s Urban Retail Team recently announced the Yonge Street location on social media, confirming that it represents Prince Street Pizza in its Canadian rollout. The brokerage is inviting landlords and commercial real estate brokers to submit potential sites measuring between 1,000 and 2,000 square feet.

The leasing campaign indicates that Prince Street Pizza is exploring opportunities beyond its two Toronto locations, although additional Canadian restaurant addresses have not been announced.

Second Toronto Restaurant Planned for Yonge and Eglinton

The new restaurant will occupy a longstanding dining location in Toronto’s Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood. The address was previously home to Cibo Wine Bar and, before that, Vita Sociale and Centro, the fine-dining restaurant established by Franco Prevedello in 1988.

Recent reporting by Restaurant Hospitality News indicates that the restaurant will occupy approximately 2,500 square feet, with an anticipated opening in spring 2027. The reported footprint is larger than the spaces CBRE is currently seeking for additional locations.

Prince Street Pizza is known for its Sicilian-style square pizzas, particularly its signature Spicy Spring, topped with pepperoni cups. Founded in New York City in 2012, the company has expanded into several American markets, including Los Angeles, Miami and Las Vegas.

Canadian Growth Builds on The Well Opening

Prince Street Pizza opened its first Canadian restaurant at The Well, the mixed-use development at Front Street West and Spadina Avenue, in October 2023.

Retail Insider reported the company’s planned Canadian entry in May 2022, when Prince Street Pizza was identified among the development’s incoming foodservice tenants. Subsequent reporting in October 2022 identified a 1,559-square-foot space for the restaurant along Front Street West.

Additional Canadian restaurants were already being discussed when the first Toronto location opened. An October 2023 report in Foodservice and Hospitality noted the company’s intention to expand further in the country.

CBRE subsequently identified Prince Street Pizza among the restaurant tenants seeking additional Toronto locations. Its 2025 Toronto East End Retail Report listed a requirement of approximately 2,000 square feet, with Downtown East and Leslieville identified as target areas.

The latest Canadian leasing announcement identifies Arlin Markowitz and Emily Everett of CBRE’s Urban Retail Team as contacts for landlords and brokers submitting potential sites.

Toronto-Born CEO Leads North American Expansion

Prince Street Pizza CEO Lawrence Longo grew up in Toronto and has previously discussed the significance of bringing the New York pizza brand to his hometown.

The company’s broader North American expansion has gained momentum in recent years. In March 2026, Prince Street Pizza announced a strategic partnership with Lawrence Kourie, an experienced Dave’s Hot Chicken franchise operator, to support growth in the United States.

An April 2026 report by Restaurant Business indicated that Prince Street Pizza had 18 restaurants at the time, with additional openings planned. The company has pursued expansion through operating partnerships rather than a conventional franchise model.

In Canada, the Yonge Street restaurant and CBRE’s ongoing search for additional properties point to further growth beyond the company’s original Toronto location. The number and locations of future Canadian restaurants have not been disclosed.
